Turn to chapter 4 in your copy of 5DL. As you make your way through the chapter, bring to mind some of your relationships, at work or at home. Which work particularly well, and which less so? Instead of trying to ‘figure it out’ start by reflecting on your impact on the other person. What happens to them when you’re there?
This is rarely the starting point for our reflections, but you will find that starting very honestly from this place gives significant insights. Then, consider how you might approach them in a new way, in the spirit of taking things to a new level of relationship.
